Amaç ve Kapsam

This symposium aims to explore the historical development of the guitar as well as its place in contemporary music through innovative approaches within the contexts of music education and musicology. The event will feature studies that transcend the traditional boundaries of the guitar, examining its interaction with various disciplines and the transformations it has undergone through technological and artistic advancements. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the guitar’s journey from past to present while gaining innovative perspectives for the future. The Innovative Guitar Days will serve as a scientific platform for musicologists, composers, performers, and educators by addressing the instrument with both traditional and modern approaches. Covering all types of guitars and open to all kinds of research, this event will focus on the guitar’s role in shaping cultural identity, playing techniques, design and production processes of new guitars, usage scenarios, digitization processes, and its place in interdisciplinary studies from an innovative perspective.
