Exploring Guitar Music through an Interdisciplinary and Innovative Perspective!

The 1st International Innovative Guitar Days Symposium, hosted in collaboration with Atatürk University Institute of Fine Arts, invites scholars, performers, educators, composers, and other professionals to examine the guitar’s historical evolution and its dynamic role in contemporary music. This symposium aims to promote innovative approaches within the contexts of musicology, music education, performance, and composition, welcoming contributions on all guitar types and musical styles. We encourage submissions from a global community of researchers and practitioners to engage in interdisciplinary discussions, share cutting-edge insights, and explore the guitar’s cultural and artistic significance across time and traditions.

Concerts, Seminars, and Young Talents Stage

1st Innovative Guitar Days: Erzurum The program titled Concerts, Masterclasses, and Young Talents Stage, to be held as part of the 1st Innovative Guitar Days in Erzurum, Concerts, Seminars, and Young Talents Stage The program titled Concerts, Masterclasses, and Young Talents Stage, to be held as part of the 1st Innovative Guitar Days in Erzurum, aims to bring together distinguished performers and educators representing various genres of guitar music, offering participants a multifaceted artistic experience. Throughout the event, renowned artists in classical, flamenco, jazz, electric, acoustic, and bass guitar will perform concerts. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of guitar music through seminars with these artists. By integrating artistic performance with educational sharing, the program seeks to explore the technical, aesthetic, and cultural dimensions of the guitar from a multidimensional perspective.

As part of the event, a special concert program titled Young Talents Stage will also take place. Open to young guitarists working in genres such as classical, flamenco, jazz, electric, acoustic, and bass guitar , the Young Talents Stage provides an opportunity for young performers to bring their perspectives to the diverse world of guitar music and perform on stage. This section is open to applications from guitarists born in 2008 or later, with selected participants, chosen through a jury evaluation, performing in a high-quality concert experience. The program aims to help young guitarists gain experience in stage and repertoire presentation, and performance aesthetics.
